We are pleased to advise that Mi-IT has recently been awarded a ‘Corporate Partnership’ with the IT Professionals of NZ.
IT Professionals (ITP) is New Zealand’s body for software and IT experts who care deeply about professional practice in IT.
ITP does two things: develops professionals and the professional community, and works on behalf of the community as both the voice to Government and via a broad range of other initiatives.
The organisation is at the forefront of reforming tech-related education in schools and at tertiary level, as well as running the hugely successful TechHub programme introducing thousands of kids to a future career in tech, and is involved in various other initiatives such as the Cloud Computing Code of Practice.
ITP serves and connects four important communities:
IT Professionals
ITP helps IT Professionals get ahead by recognising professional practice, organising hundreds of events and short courses every year, facilitating mentoring, and providing a voice to Government and others.
Corporate Partners
ITP Corporate Partners are recognised for supporting ITP’s activities while also gaining direct professional development benefits for their staff.
Students
ITP helps students get ahead and works to bridge the jump from study to work. ITP has over 1000 student members across New Zealand and helps connect students with their local industry.
Educators and Researchers
As well as providing the same direct benefits to academics as with industry members, ITP recently formed the ITP Education and Research Group to support advocacy and other initiatives to advance tech education.
